9) Congratulations to the following Hillhawks for their terrific art work that was on display at The Dubuque Museum of Art. The art exhibit concluded on April 1st. Hillhawks participating in the art exhibit were: Elleyna Heims (Animal Drawing), Caleb Heims (Partner Portrait), Jace Pins (Animal Watercolor), Faith Jasper (Stamp Design), Libby Jones (Stamp Design) and Jessica Droessler (Shoe Drawing).

10) Jefferson Special Olympic athletes traveled to North Scott HS on Saturday, April 9th to compete in Track and Field events. Here are the results. Dawson Mussman - 1st in 50m dash and 2nd in softball throw. Simeon Johnson - 1st in softball throw and 1st in 100m dash. Payton Gibson - 2nd in softball throw and 1st in 100m dash. 3) If you want to increase your speed, improve your strength, or simply just want to physically get into better shape, sign up for Mr. McCormick’s and Mr. Timm’s "Raise the Bar" fitness class. The class will run on Mondays and Wednesdays, get started today. It’s a LEAP program so make sure you start in the cafeteria and sign in.

5) 9th Annual Dubuque Senior High School Rams Cheerleading Day Camp is Saturday, April 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by the Main Office to pick up a registration form; April 19th is the last day for registration.

6) Celebrate National Library Week! Students are encouraged to design and color a book mark, or poster of your favorite book! Write a book review to be placed in our school online Destiny catalog, or make a book trailer. Turn all projects in during the month of April to the Jefferson Library to celebrate National Library Week. All entries will receive a prize!

7) A message from the Carnegie-Stout Public Library...To celebrate National Library Week at the Public Library, students can come to the Jefferson Library to receive a coupon for a FREE book!
