Student Announcements - Thursday, December 1, 2011 Day A

1) Today is a Day A.

2) Attention students...Do you have a talent such as singing, playing an instrument, or dancing? Auditions for this year's talent show will be after school on December 14th or 15th from 2:45-4:00. If you are interested in trying out for the show, you should prepare an act and come to one of the after school times and present your act to the panel of judges. We are not able to put all of the acts in the final show, so the judges rate the acts on whether they are interesting and show preparation and talent. All acts should be between 1 and 4 minutes long and contain nothing that is offensive. You can pick up specific guidelines from Ms. Baumann or Ms. Roussel in the guidance office. For those acts needing accompanying music, there will be a computer with internet access available during the auditions.

3) Sports Today...Girls Basketball - Washington Blue vs. Jefferson. 7th grade at Washington and 8th grade at Jefferson; both games begin at 4 p.m. Wrestling - Jefferson vs. Washington vs. Mazzuchelli vs. Roosevelt at Roosevelt beginning at 4 p.m.

4) Friendly reminder to all that the PBS contest for t-shirt designs are due to Mrs. Hefel-Busch today.

5) Report Card Envelopes Please remember that you need to return your signed report card envelope to your homebase teacher by Friday, December 2nd.

6) Used Shoe Drive TJMS will be holding a shoe drive from December 1st to December 20th. Bring all of your old athletic shoes to the main office. All of the shoes will be taken to a Nike plant and recycled. If you have any questions please contact Emily Schleter, House 7-1.

2) There are currently 246 overdue library books - and that is just students! Please search your book-bags, lockers, bookshelves, under your bed and get those books returned or renewed! We have a lot of new books that are waiting to be read! Thank you from Mrs Neyens and Ms Cairns.

2011 Kalahari Field Trip





Students from TJMS who sold 10 items or more during our recent fundraiser earned a fun field trip to the Kalahari Indoor Theme Park in the Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, November 19th.

Orchestra There will be no orchestra class or lessons for the rest of the week, November 16-18.

Fundraiser Pickup The fundraiser orders will be delivered to school on Thursday, November 17th. Each student order will be delivered to the students homebase. Students will need to go to their homebase classes before they go home and pick up the orders to be delivered. If students are not able to take the orders home on Thursday they will need to take them home by Friday. Students may also have parents come and pick up the orders on Thursday afternoon or after 10:00 am on Friday.

2) Anyone who ordered a sweatshirt and/or sweatpants, you can stop by the main office and pick them up. You must have paid already or pay before you take items with you. If you would like to order a sweatshirt or sweatpants, stop by the main office to order.

4) Sports Today - Wrestling...Roosevelt vs. Drexler vs. Jefferson at Jefferson beginning at 4 p.m.

E-Cybermission is a web-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics competition for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade teams. Your team will propose a solution to a real problem in your community and compete for Regional and National Awards. E-cybermission will meet after school on Tuesdays. Sign up today!
