3) If you want to increase your speed, improve your strength, or simply just want to physically get into better shape, sign up for Mr. McCormick’s and Mr. Timm’s "Raise the Bar" fitness class. The class starts next Monday, April 4th and Wednesday, April 6th. It’s a LEAP program so make sure you start in the cafeteria and sign in.
4) The Jefferson School Musical, "Thoroughly Modern Millie" will be performed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights (April 7th, 8th, and 9th) at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, April 10th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are only $5. You can buy tickets at the school office or from Ms. Glennon. "Thoroughly Modern Millie" takes place in New York in the 1920's. The play includes big dance numbers, mixed up love stories, and even a villain you will love to hate. Please come to see a great show and support Jefferson students.
5) 9th Annual Dubuque Senior High School Rams Cheerleading Day Camp is Saturday, April 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by the Main Office to pick up a registration form and more information.

3) Congratulations to the following students who were selected to attend the Belin-Blank Summer Institute in Iowa City in June: Ella Esser, House 8-2, Creative Writing; Shaelyn Hostager, House 8-1, Performing Arts; Abby Kramer, House 7-2, Global & Cultural Studies; and Jackie Mootz, House 8-1, Visual Arts. Two Jefferson students were selected as alternates. Congratulations to our alternates: Jacob Fonck, House 8-1, Advanced Science; and Kaden Wehrenberg, House 7-2, Math Problem Solving.

2) Thomas Jefferson Middle School's Spring Conferences are this week. Please go online to register for your child's spring conference. If the time you want is unavailable, please call school at 552-4709 and Mrs. Schmitz will schedule it for you. 3) 6th grade basketball intramurals are starting March 7th for boys and girls. Anyone interested, please make sure you have a sports physical on file in the office.
4) No LEAP programs on Wednesday, March 3rd.
5) Students are reminded phones, I-pods, earbuds, and other electronic devices are only to be seen during lunch, before and after school. Do not have these things out in hallways, classrooms, and bathrooms, or you run the risk of losing this privilege.
6) Sports Today - Boys Gold Basketball...Jefferson Gold vs. Roosevelt Silver. 7th grade at Roosevelt and 8th grade at Jefferson; both games begin at 4 p.m.
7) Any boys basketball player that has not turned in their shooting shirt or any part of their uniform must get that into the main office as soon as possible.
