Front of Building This weekend more work was done on the roped off area in front of school. The ground was aerated, fertilized and seeded with grass. This is all done by a private donor and supporter of Jefferson. We have this area roped off to keep people from walking in this area so we can get the grass to grow. Please stay off of this area.

Gum We are finding an increasing amount of gum on the floor in classrooms, hallways and stairwells. Gum is difficult to clean up especially on the stairwells and on carpet. The school policy allows you to chew gum at school as long as you do so in a respectful and responsible way. Our custodians work hard and do a fantastic job at keeping our building clean. Let's not give them extra work. Please dispose of your gum in waste baskets. Wrap it in a tissue or piece of paper so it doesn't stick to the waste can. If there continues to be gum on the floors we will have to go to a "NO Gum" rule at school. So if you want to chew gum at school, keep it off the floor. Gum is never allowed in the auditorium!

You could be awarded a pair of tickets to the first game played at home.

Breakfast Breakfast is served from 7:30-7:40 am on Monday thru Thursday. If you would like breakfast you need to be there before 7:40 am. Friday breakfast is served from 8:30 -8:40 am. You need to be in the cafeteria no later than 8:40 am.

From Mr. Kramer... School Fundraiser I have been asked by several people whether we are doing the Discount Card Fundraiser again this year. Yes, we will be doing the Fundraiser again this year. At the present time I have confirmed participation from 13 local business. I am still waiting for confirmation from 4 other businesses and 3 businesses have declined to participate this year. As soon as I can get confirmation from the other businesses and get at least one more new business to participate this year we can kick-off this activity. I have some special incentives to offer this year and I will share these with everyone as we get closer to the kick-off. Stay tuned!

Musical Practice There will be a special practice for the musical on Thursday, April 2nd from 12:30-4:30. Students involved are to report to the auditorium at 12:30. Students are expected to remain in the auditorium the entire practice time. Eighth grade students should eat lunch at 11:38 with the 78th grade students. Students are responsible for all classwork missed during this time. Teachers have the right to refuse to let students attend this rehearsal if they can't afford to miss a class. Students participating in the musical need to make sure that they have all passing grades in their classes. If anyone has a failing grade they will not be allowed to perform.
