Thomas Jefferson Middle School Library Remodel

We are pretty close to completing this stage of our library renovation. Thank you to everyone for your patience during this process. Thank you to the Dubuque Racing Association for supporting this project with a grant of $7,500. With these funds as well as some of our own school funds we were able to purchase some furniture, book shelves and addition books for the library.

Check out some of the new books purchased for the LRC.

New LRC catalog computers utilizing Destiny Quest
We have books for every student in our LRC. Even picture books!

This area of shelves includes multiple copies of books (great if you and a friend want to read the same book), conversation circle books for reading/literature/lang arts classes, and even math books.

Another look at the comfy couches. The inset carpet replaces old carpet underneath the former tall bookshelves.

Some fish have even become residents of the LRC.
An overview of the entire LRC. The comfy couches have replaced the tall bookshelves in the middle of the LRC.
New shorter shelves for fiction books. Our non-fiction books are now in the shelves along the walls. It's much easier to find the books you are looking for!
Another look at the library. The comfy couches are in between the fiction bookshelves.
