7) Sports Today - Girls Basketball...Jefferson vs. Washington Blue. 7th grade at Washington and 8th grade at Jefferson; both games begin at 4 p.m.

Morning Arrival Now that the weather has drastically changed and winter appears to be here it is important to dress warm. Gloves, hats, socks, etc. are needed to protect your body. The doors to school are normally opened at 7:30 am. If you are a walker, please do not come much earlier than 7:30 am. If you get a ride to school try to arrange it so you are here as late as possible. There is no guarantee that the doors will open earlier than 7:30 am expect on days were the temperature is 10 degrees or below or it is snowing. So make sure you are dressed warm enough to take the cold for 10-15 minutes outside when the temperature is above 10 degrees.

Library Update We are pretty close to completing this stage of our library renovation. Thank you to everyone for your patience during this process. Thank you to the Dubuque Racing Association for supporting this project with a grant of $7,500. With these funds as well as some of our own school funds we were able to purchase some furniture, book shelves and addition books for the library.

Band, Orchestra and Choir All 7-8th grade band, orchestra and choir students DO NOT report to these classes until the 7:40 am bell rings each morning. If you arrive at school before this time you need to report to your assigned hallway areas until 7:40 am.

Hallway Painting We are in the process of painting the hallways at Jefferson. Please be extra careful in the areas that the painters are working. Don't rub against the walls or touch the walls in these areas and be extra respectful to the painters as you pass through the hallways.
