The camp takes place on June 5th, 6th and 7th. The cost is $50 per camper, each additional family member is only $25. Stop by the main office for more information.

3) The 2017 Hempstead Youth Football Camp will run July 17th thru July 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Timmerman Field at Hempstead High School for all students entering grades 1 thru 8. 5) Ms. Slade, the vocal music teacher from Hempstead, will be at Jefferson Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 7:40-8:15 to audition 8th grade students who will be in choir at Hempstead. She will spend a few minutes with each student in the auditorium. This helps her to place students in the appropriate choir. If you are interested in joining Choir and/or have registered for Choir, please come to the auditorium Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

Today during lunch any student who attended a LEAP activity as of 5/12/17 will receive an Ice Cream Treat courtesy of the LEAP programs. In the past LEAP has awarded students with an end of the year field trip, but unfortunately due to transportation issues we cannot provide a trip at the end of this year, so the LEAP programs wanted to give everyone a special treat to say thanks for coming to LEAP activities. 2) Friends of Homacho, a small, local non-profit dedicated to providing resources for the village of Homacho, Ethiopia, is hosting its 3rd Annual H20 for FoH Water Walk Relay. The event will take place on May 6, 2017, at Murphy Park in Dubuque, Iowa. The relay starts at 9 and will be completed before 10:30 a.m. You can sign up as a team or as an individual. Participants will carry two buckets of water around the paved road at Murphy Park before relaying them to another person if you are part of a team. Each individual will be asked to make three laps around the park to simulate women and girls in Homacho carrying water 1.5 miles almost daily. The registration fee is $20. That includes a t-shirt. Bananas and bagels will be provided. You are encouraged to bring your own water bottle to fill there. Proceeds will go to benefit the work of FoH.

2) LEAP for Today...Raise the Bar and Humane Helpers - VISIT THE HUMANE SOCIETY.

3) Friends of Homacho, a small, local non-profit dedicated to providing resources for the village of Homacho, Ethiopia, is hosting its 3rd Annual H20 for FoH Water Walk Relay. The event will take place on May 6, 2017, at Murphy Park in Dubuque, Iowa. The relay starts at 9 and will be completed before 10:30 a.m. You can sign up as a team or as an individual. Participants will carry two buckets of water around the paved road at Murphy Park before relaying them to another person if you are part of a team. Each individual will be asked to make three laps around the park to simulate women and girls in Homacho carrying water 1.5 miles almost daily. The registration fee is $20. That includes a t-shirt. The Dubuque Senior Color Guard is getting ready to start up for next year! If spinning a flag, marching with the band and making new friends sounds like fun to you, then come try us out! Audition workshops will be held Tuesday, May 2nd from 6-9 p.m.; Thursday, May 4th from 6-9 p.m.; and Tuesday, May 9th from 6-9 p.m. Auditions will be on Thursday, May 11th from 6-9 p.m. You can pick up a flyer with more information in the main office.
