2) Any boys entering 6th or 7th grade who are interested in playing and learning more about the game of basketball are invited to the 2017 Mustang Boys Basketball Youth Camp. The camp takes place on June 5th, 6th and 7th. The cost is $50 per camper, each additional family member is only $25. Stop by the main office for more information.
3) The 2017 Hempstead Youth Football Camp will run July 17th thru July 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Timmerman Field at Hempstead High School for all students entering grades 1 thru 8. 4) LEAP this week...Wednesday is ISTEP, Leisure Services Soccer and Homework Help. Thursday is Shakespeare, High School 101 and Homework Help. Tuesday, May 23rd is the Shakespeare Performance.
5) Attention all HillHawks, now is the first perfect time to schedule your sports physical for next school year. Sports physicals are good for 13 months, so if you get one in the month of May or June you will be covered for the entire 2017-18 school year.
Awards Ceremonies for the End of the School Year is on Thursday, June 1st. 8th grade -- 8:00 a.m.; 6th grade -- 9:30 a.m.; 7th grade -- 1:00 p.m.
Today during lunch any student who attended a LEAP activity as of 5/12/17 will receive an Ice Cream Treat courtesy of the LEAP programs. In the past LEAP has awarded students with an end of the year field trip, but unfortunately due to transportation issues we cannot provide a trip at the end of this year, so the LEAP programs wanted to give everyone a special treat to say thanks for coming to LEAP activities. All incoming 7th grade students are required to receive one dose of Tdap and also new for the 2017-2018 school year, all 7th grade students are required a one-time dose of meningococcal (A, C, W, Y) vaccine. Please turn in an updated immunization card by the first day of school. There will be no grace/extension period for the implementation of this requirement. The Dubuque County VNA will be hosting their Super Shot Saturday on May 20th. Call the VNA at 563-556-6200 to schedule an appointment
