1) Birthdays Today - January 21st...Madison Villarreal.
2) Senior and Hempstead High School Open Houses for incoming freshmen will be Monday, January 25th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
3) Girls Dance Team will meet today after school.
4) Battle of The Books Team Signups...Students who are interested in being on a team for Battle of The Books may start forming your teams. You may have 3-5 people on your team. Stop in the LRC for the team sign up sheets. Please be aware of the MAP testing in the LRC this week.
5) Sports Today - Boys Red Basketball...Jefferson Red vs. Mazzuchelli Blue. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Mazzuchelli; both games begin at 4 p.m.
On Tuesday night the 7th grade boys basketball team had an inner-school scrimmage. Red and Gold A and B teams played really hard. Both teams have very high goals for the season. Coaches are excited to start competition. Terrell Fowler was the leading scorer and assist man. Great job HillHawks!
