Thursday, April 17, 2014 - Day B

1) The Live Healthy Iowa 10 Week Challenge has ended! The purple calendar and any other calendars that have not been turned in are due now. The date of the open gym for all students who turned in all five calendars will be announced soon. Any questions, please ask Mrs. Lucas or Mr. Wischmeyer.

2) On Friday, April 18th the Fighting Saints vs. the Rough Riders will compete in a playoff game. End tickets are $9.50. Stop by the main office to get information on how to order tickets.

3) Birthdays Today - April 17th...Rachel Kyle, Michael Randall. April 19th...Kevin Ries. April 20th...Logan Horner Fritsch, Tremain Moore.

4) Hempstead and Senior will be holding concussion screenings for all 8th grade softball and baseball players on Monday, April 28th! 6:00 pm for Baseball and 7:00 pm for softball. At Senior, you should meet the trainer in the cafeteria and she will take the students to the testing area. At Hempstead, you will meet the trainer at the entrance (by the gym) and she will take the students to the testing area.

5) Girls 6th grade basketball will meet today after school.

6) Hillhawk Helpers are looking for students interested in going to Audubon with us after school to help tutor and play games with the elementary kids on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30. If you are interested, please see Mr. Bausch or Mr. Hatcher.

7) A reminder to all students, anyone who gets 100 pacers this spring will earn a t-shirt and write their own page in history by joining the elite 100 Pacer Club.

Fundraiser Keep selling those discount cards! On Monday, April 21st any student that has turned in money for 3 discount cards will get their name in a drawing to eat a pizza lunch with Mr. Kramer. We will select 8 students to participate in this event so get out there and sell!!!

Food at School Students are not to be eating food at school outside of breakfast and lunch times and food is only to be eaten in the cafeterias. The only exceptions to this would be approved special events. Teachers are asked to report any student that is not following this expectation to the office. No food is to leave the cafeterias after breakfast or lunch. This is a district policy.
