Friday, April 4, 2014 - Day A

1) Jefferson Wellness classes are participating in Live Healthy Iowa Kids again this year. The 5th and final purple calendar began March 22nd and will go through today. Students are to be recording screen time and activity minutes on these calendars. The green calendars (water servings/activity minutes) are due right now to Mrs. Lucas and Mr. Wischmeyer. Any questions, please ask the Wellness teachers.

2) 6th graders interested in playing basketball, boys practice starts April 7th, and girls April 8th. Practice runs 2:30-4:00 p.m. Students interested show up in main gym immediately after school, all you need is clothes comfortable enough to play and your sports physical. Boys will meet every Monday and Wednesday for 10 sessions, girls Tuesday and Thursdays for 10 sessions, unless we have an early out or no school.

3) Spring Jefferson LEAP Zipline dates will be: Monday (4-21-2014), Wednesday (4-23-2014), Friday (4-25-2014), Monday (4-28-2014), Wednesday (4-30-2014), Friday (5-2-2014), and Monday (5-5-2014). Sign-up after school in the cafeteria with Mrs. Beau if you haven’t already! Groups and classrooms are encouraged to sign-up together.

4) BATTLE OF THE BOOKS TEAMS...We will have a Battle of the Books quiz this week in the LRC. Today, April 4th, 7th grade teams will meet in the LRC at 11:00. Each student needs to bring their Battle of the Book that they are currently reading and a pencil.

5) Birthdays Today - April 4th...Chance LuGrain. April 5th...Daiviante Swanaga. April 6th...Megan Kaufmann, Savoya Williams.

6) 7th and 8th graders have until today to sign up for track. You must have a physical.

7) This announcement is for all crew members of the musical, Fiddler on the Roof. All crew and light members need to attend all rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof after school from now on. Please see Mrs. Duggan if you cannot attend for any reason. There is also a rehearsal on Sunday, April 6th that you are invited to attend if at all possible. Thanks.
