Student Announcements - Wednesday, December 7, 2011 Day A

1) Today is a Day A.

2) Attention students - there are currently 323 overdue items from the library - let's get those returned or renewed so you can check out more books! Also, be aware if you have a book that has been overdue since September, you will receive a charge for it. If you are not sure, check with Ms. Cairns or Mrs. Neyens.

3) It's book fair time! This fair is a regular, full-price book fair but new this year is an online fair. Pick up a flyer in the library to access the online site and anything you purchase will arrive at Jefferson by the 15th of December and the library will earn points for new books.

4) Violas, Cellos, Bass only for Orchestra on Thursday.

5) Used Shoe Drive TJMS will be holding a shoe drive from December 1st to December 20th. Bring all of your old athletic shoes to the main office. All of the shoes will be taken to a Nike plant and recycled. If you have any questions please contact Emily Schleter, House 7-1.

6) Attention students...Do you have a talent such as singing, playing an instrument, or dancing? Auditions for this year's talent show will be after school on December 14th or 15th from 2:45-4:00. If you are interested in trying out for the show, you should prepare an act and come to one of the after school times and present your act to the panel of judges. We are not able to put all of the acts in the final show, so the judges rate the acts on whether they are interesting and show preparation and talent. All acts should be between 1 and 4 minutes long and contain nothing that is offensive. You can pick up specific guidelines from Ms. Baumann or Ms. Roussel in the guidance office. For those acts needing accompanying music, there will be a computer with internet access available during the auditions.
