Student Announcements - Friday, December 16, 2011 Day B

1) Today is a Day B.

2) Students - The computer lab is very busy now during homebase. If you need a spot, get a pass early and we will assign you a computer. If not, you might not be able to "drop-in" and use the computer. If you sign up for a computer and no longer need one, it is important that you let us know.

Also, next week after you clean out your locker, clean out your backpack and get your lost or overdue library books returned! A great resolution for the new year would be to have no overdue books for the rest of the year! Thank you from Mrs. Neyens and Ms Cairns.

3) If you ordered any black sweatshirts, black sweatpants, long or short sleeve t-shirts, please stop by the main office, pay and take your merchandise.

4) Birthdays Today - December 16th...Zachary Tilton, Evan Wolter. December 18th...Dillon Gottschalk.

Used Shoe Drive TJMS will be holding a shoe drive from December 1st to December 20th. Bring all of your old athletic shoes to the main office. All of the shoes will be taken to a Nike plant and recycled. If you have any questions please contact Emily Schleter, House 7-1.

5) Congratulations to the students selected for the Northeast Iowa String Teachers Honors Orchestra. These students are Margaret Kratz, Rebecca Schueller, Bailey Hansen and Dona Rogers.

7) This Holiday season the JAVA staff will be selling Christmas Grams to anyone interested. Purchase a Christmas gram for your friends, or teachers. On the Christmas gram make sure you include who it is for, who it is from, and the homebase of the student or teacher you are buying it for. During homebase on the last day of school before Christmas break Java will deliver the Grams with a Candy Cane to anyone who receives one. You can color the picture on the front and write a little Holiday message on the inside. They cost 25 cents each. You pick them up from Cart Mart starting tomorrow. After you complete the Christmas Gram you can take it to the library and put it in the Christmas Gram box. They will be delivered to your homebase on the last day of school before Christmas break. You can send as many as you want to a friend, teacher, counselor, or helper teacher. Happy Holidays from your friendly neighborhood JAVA staff.
