TJMS Student Announcements - Tuesday, February 27, 2018 -- Day A

1) Birthdays Today - February 27th...Jahiem Weeks.

2) Calling all 7th and 8th grade boys. Sherrill Ball Diamond A-Team is looking for ball players. The student can not be 15 before May 1st. 1st team meeting is in the first week of March; games tentatively set for Monday nights; cost to join is $70. 3) Are you a choir student? Choir students, remember to return your festival permission slip to Mrs. Duggan by Wednesday, February 28. See Mrs. Duggan if you lost your slip.

4) Boys and girls all ages are being offered a Duhawk Basketball Spring Break Clinic on Saturday, March 24th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost is $25, stop by the main office if you would like a registration form.

5) All students who have their sights set on being a high school cheerleader some day, the 2018 Mustang Cheer Clinic is the perfect way to learn your technique. Interested students should stop by the main office for more information. The clinic is on Tuesday, March 20th from 3:45 to 7:30 p.m. and the cost is $35 dollars.

6) PONY League Baseball registration forms are in the main office. Registration is open through March 10th after March 10th a $25 dollar late fee may incur.

7) LEAP is going to introduce Hip Hop Studio. The goal is to provide students with an avenue to explore music production. Students will produce at least 1 hip hop recording using Cubase recording software. Program will meet twice per week for four consecutive weeks beginning March. Dates are March 6th and 8th, 13th and 15th, 20th and 22nd, and April 10th, 11th, 12th.

8) Sports Today - Boys Gold Basketball...Jefferson Gold vs. Roosevelt Black. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Roosevelt; both games begin at 4 p.m.

Important Reminder...

Keystone AEA will be at Jefferson to do retest hearing screenings on Wednesday, March 14th. Parents will be contacted by Keystone staff if there is a problem with their child's hearing after the testing on March 14th.
