TJMS Student Announcements - Thursday, May 12, 2016 -- Day A

1) Birthdays Today - May 12th...Alexander Hoag, Caleb Perreard.

2) Hempstead Lady Stangs will be hosting a basketball camp from June 20th to June 23rd from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Girls entering 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade are invited. The registration fee is $60. If you would like more information, please stop by the main office.

3) The end of the school year is fast approaching. Please bring $12 to the Main Office to reserve a copy of the 2015-2016 memory book.

4) Attention 7th and 8th graders interested in STEM activities. The University of Dubuque is sponsoring a STEM camp this summer, Amazing Molecues + ME from August 8 - August 12. You will solve challenges that include: cleaning foul water, creating the bounciest ball, making enviro-friendly plastic, and taste-testing liquid nitrogen ice cream. 5) Any 8th grade student interested in the Senior High School Color Guard for the 2016-2017 school year, please stop by the main office for an information sheet. Audition workshops begin on Tuesday, May 17th.

6) Sports Today - Girls Track and Field...Mazzuchelli hosts Jefferson and Roosevelt at Wahlert beginning at 4:30 p.m.

7) Attention 6th and 7th graders. Senior High School is hosting a track and field camp from July 25th-28th. Boys and Girls are invited! This is a great time to learn about track and improve your running, jumping, and throwing skills. Please pick up a flyer from the main office or talk to Ms. Settanni for more information!

8) 6th grade volleyball and football start next week. Sign up in cafeteria, you must have a physical on file in the main office. It will run 2:30-4:15 p.m. every day from May 16th to 27th.

9) Next Thursday May 19th, everyone (teachers, parents, and students) are all invited to see a Shakespeare Performance in the auditorium from 4-5 p.m. This is a LEAP activity where students have been studying Shakespeare plays and now are getting a chance to showcase their talents.
