1) Just a reminder that we are still saving BoxTops For Education. As you do your holiday baking, please watch for the Boxtop labels on package items. Clip them and bring them into the LRC. We will use these points to buy additional materials for Jefferson. Thank you, Library Staff. The Book Fair will be open next Wednesday, November 26th and will run through Friday, December 5th in the library!

2) Are you a G-R-E-A-T speller? Sign up to participate in the Jefferson spelling bee! We will hold a school-wide spelling competition on Wednesday, December 10th. The top 5 spellers will represent Jefferson at Clarke University at the sectional spelling bee in January. To sign up, stop and see Ms. Weber in the Guidance area or email her at miweber@dbqschools.org.

3) The Holiday Book fair will be in the Library until Friday, December 5th during the school day. Free gift wrapping will be available again this year! Also we will be running a book contest during the fair. For every book title of Sisters, Maze Runner , or Wimpy Kids Hard Luck you purchase. You can put your name in for a drawing to WIN a poster or the grand prize is a Wireless Bluetooth Speaker!

5) If you are passionate about issues, get involved in Young Citizen's Forum. Our first meeting will be today, December 3rd. 6th grade during Pd 0 in Room 207 (Ms. Thimmesch's room). 7th/8th grade during Pd 4 in Room 08 (Ms. Pelkey's room). Find out what it's all about!

6) Second semester LEAP Brochures will be handed during homebase. Registration is due Friday, December 12th, remember space is limited in most programs, the sooner you turn your registration in, the better the chance you have for getting into it. Homework help is a LEAP program, you must register for it. Turn all completed registration forms into the main office.
