Tuesday, February 12, 2013 Day B
1) Remember to keep track of your activity minutes and fruit servings for Live Healthy Iowa. 7th and 8th graders need to record on their yellow calendars, and 6th graders need to record in their agendas.
2) It is time to order the 2012-2013 memory book. If you have not already ordered one and would like one, bring $12 to the business office and a memory book will be reserved for you. Extra memory books will not be available for sale at the end of the year. Deadline for ordering is Thursday, February 14th.
3) Any student signed up for ice skating through LEAP program for Feb. 22nd, you need to stop down and see Mrs. Beau. We have too many kids signed up and now you need to pick the nights you want to go. First come, first serve so stop in and see Mrs. Beau as soon as possible.
4) Don’t forget about Monday Night Sports League! The next three Monday nights Leisure Services will be having an Open Gym here at Jefferson from 7 to 9pm. Basketball, volleyball, football, dodge ball, whatever you want to play. Sign up with Mrs. Beau in cafeteria after school.
5) Sports Today - Boys Gold Basketball...Jefferson Gold vs. Roosevelt Black. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Roosevelt; both games begin at 4 p.m.
6) Birthdays Today - February 12th...Michaela Henry.
7) Congratulations to the winners of the movie tickets for participating in the dental sealant program. (Chris Hansen, Hannah Mains, Hannah Jackson)
8) If you are interested in being part of the backstage crew for "Annie," please see Ms. Baumann this week to pick up an application.
9) The 7th and 8th grade gold basketball teams will be making up their cancelled game on February 20th. 7th is at Jefferson and 8th will be at Roosevelt.
Morning Arrival The main entrance to the school will be open at 7:30 am each morning unless it is raining, snowing or the temperature is below 20 degrees. Students will not be permitted to enter the building before 7:30 am unless they have a prearranged appointment with a teacher or administrator. Please make sure you are dressed warm enough to stand outside if you arrive at school before 7:30 am.
