1) Today is a Day B.
2) All Students are reminded to be logging their physical activity minutes and vegetable servings daily to turn into their wellness teachers for Live Healthy Iowa kids.
3) Birthdays Today - February 28th...Ryan Zierden.
4) There will be no 'Homework Help" on Thursday, March 1st.
5) Any 6th grade student interested in a drawing contest, see Mr. Hatcher or Mrs. Henkels for more details. Draw a picture of any Historical Building in Iowa and you could win $100.00! Entries are due April 13th.
6) Any 7th or 8th grader interested in a photography contest see Mr. Hatcher or Mrs. Henkels. Take a photo of any Historical Building in Iowa and submit it to the Iowa Architectural Foundation and you could win $100.00. Entries are due by March 14, 2012.
7) The Young Citizens' Forum field trip has been moved to Friday, March 23rd from 8:30 - 2:00. Students in YCF should continue to research and build a strong back up for their argument. If you plan to do research in the Jefferson LRC during activity time, ask Ms. Cairns for a pass. We will have a meeting on Wednesday, March 7th at 11:05 in the LRC to share any new information.
8) Lunch Menu for today is: Ham & Cheese Pasta or Philly Cheese Steak; Baby Carrots & Celery; Corn; Apple Sauce; Fresh Kiwi; Whole Wheat Bread; and Milk.
9) Attention Students...If you have overdue library books from January, charges are being sent home next week. Locker clean-outs are a great place to start looking for your lost library books! Thank you from Ms. Cairns and Mrs. Neyens.
TJMS Student Government along with our Positive Behavior Supports committee is sponsoring Spirit Week!
Tuesday, February 28th: Twin Day
Wednesday, February 29th: Mismatched Day
Thursday, March 1st: 80's Day
Friday, March 2nd: High School Spirit Day
Teachers will be recognizing students who participate in Spirit Week
activities. Students who earn 3 or more character cards for
participating in Spirit Week will earn a frozen yogurt sundae on Friday,
March 2nd. Additional character tickets beyond 3 will be chances to
earn other prizes!
