2) The Bling Sorority Kids would like to invite all to bring in cat, dog or any kind of pet food to help us during our Pet Food Drive. Please drop off your goods to the Library. We need the help of Hillhawk families to make this food drive a success.

4)7th and 8th grade girls, get out the high-tops it’s time to sign up for Basketball. Girl’s basketball will start October 13th. Sign-up this week in the cafeteria or see Mr. Hatcher. You must have an updated concussion sheet and physical on file to participate.
5) October 17th will be our first dance of the school year! Music, gym games, face painting, karaoke, dancing, pizza, snacks, connect-four, and more! See you there HillHawks!
6) Are you ready to bring your Hillhawk pride on our first Spirit Day of the year? This Friday is our first Spirit Day! On Friday, your morning homebase teacher will be counting each student in class who is wearing any Jefferson or Hillhawk apparel to earn Hillhawk Pride Points. This is a school-wide competition taking place EVERY FRIDAY in October! On October 31 we will announce the grade with the most Hillhawk Pride Points and they will be crowned the October Spirit Day champions! Do you think your grade has what it takes? Get your Hillhawk Pride On!
7) Volleyball girls are reminded to turn your uniforms in to the main office or your coach. Do this before Friday October 10th or you will be charged.
8) Jefferson Special Olympians traveled to Davenport on Friday, October 3rd for their bowling competition. They received these awards: Colin Edberg- 2nd place; Simeon Johnson- 3rd place; Ben Lahey- 5th place; Dawson Mussmann- 4th place; Darrell Powell- 4th place; Jamie Thill- 1st place; Ane Torres-Rogers- 3rd place; Michaela Ward- 1st place; Dominic Jones- 3rd place. Great job athletes!! Coach Lucas would also like to thank the peer helpers and staff members that went along to help.
Jefferson Site Council The Thomas Jefferson Middle School Site-Council will have it's first meeting at 5:30 pm on October 13th in the Jefferson Middle School Library. Meetings will be held one Monday each month. We are looking for parents, students and community members that would like to serve on this Council.
