1) Birthdays Today - April 22nd...Morgan Reck.
2) Hempstead and Senior will be holding concussion screenings for all 8th grade softball and baseball players on Monday, April 28th! 6:00 pm for Baseball and 7:00 pm for softball. At Senior, you should meet the trainer in the cafeteria and she will take the students to the testing area. At Hempstead, you will meet the trainer at the entrance (by the gym) and she will take the students to the testing area.
3) Girls 6th grade basketball will meet today after school.
4) A reminder to all students, anyone who gets 100 pacers this spring will earn a t-shirt and write their own page in history by joining the elite 100 Pacer Club.
5) BLING Sorority Rush Day...Come and learn about BLING and all the fun things you will do when you become part of the sisterhood! All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls at Jefferson are invited to attend a Girl Scouts meeting on Wednesday, April 23rd from 2:40 to 3:40 p.m.
6) HillHawk Helpers will be going to Audubon this Wednesday to help tutor and play games with elementary kids. Come to Mr. Baush’s office immediately after school.
7) Sports Today - Girls Track...Washington hosts a track meet for Roosevelt and Jefferson at Hempstead beginning at 4:30 p.m.
8) Loras Dance Marathon team is having a fundraiser this Wednesday at Cherry Berry. 15% of all proceeds from sales between 4 and 9 p.m. will go to the DuHawk Dance Marathon team.
9) Just a reminder there is Rugby and Canoeing tonight for LEAP activities.Food at School
Students are not to be eating food at school outside of breakfast and lunch times and food is only to be eaten in the cafeterias. The only exceptions to this would be approved special events. Teachers are asked to report any student that is not following this expectation to the office. No food is to leave the cafeterias after breakfast or lunch. This is a district policy.
