1) A 4-H Find Out Night will be held on Thursday, October 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy Mall. Join us for experiments, arts and crafts, and all the other things 4-H has to offer.
2) Come to the Hempstead-Senior volleyball match today at 7 p.m. It is the Pink Match and Nikki Hilby, a Roosevelt teacher, is speaking about her fight with breast cancer. Any volleyball player who wears their middle school jersey to this Hempstead game will get in free! Get out and support the Mustangs!
3) Today is the last day for the sale of pink shirts in the main office. All are encouraged to wear them to the Hempstead-Senior football game on Friday, October 11th. The cost is $10; stop by the main office with $10 and order one.

5) Reminder from the Library...We would like you to check your library books. Due to MAP testing everyone is very busy and we have many overdue books. Please return your books quietly during passing time or activity times this week. We will be sending out overdue notices when the testing is finished.
6) Sports Today - Girls Volleyball...Jefferson Red vs. Washington Blue. 7th grade at Washington and 8th grade at Jefferson; both games begin at 4 p.m.
7) Sports Today - 8th Grade Red Football...Jefferson Red vs. Drexler Black beginning at 4:15 p.m. 8th Grade Gold Football...Jefferson Gold vs. Roosevelt Purple at Roosevelt at 4:15 p.m.
8) Sports Today - Boys and Girls Cross Country...Cross Country Meet in Manchester beginning at 4:00 p.m.
