2) Hempstead 2013 Color Guard Try-outs are today, May 17th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. @ Hempstead’s Moody Gym. You must attend the spin practices and try-out even if you have already registered for the class. Questions...Please contact Mr. Greg Dowe at gdowe@dbqschools.org.
3) All middle school girls who are interested in playing tennis, should stop in the main office and pick up a brochure on the Free Tennis clinic at Hempstead that is being offered in June. The program is free.
4) There will be a meeting at Hempstead for anyone interested in playing football this fall. The meeting is for players and parents. The meeting will be Sunday, May 19th @ 6:00pm at Hempstead. You can stop by the Jefferson Activities Office to pick up a form to take home to your parents. If you have any questions call Coach McIntyre.
5) 6th grade girls intramural volleyball is today after school.
6) 7th and 8th grade locker rooms will be locked after school now that track season is over. Plan ahead and make sure you do not need anything from the locker room at the end of the day.
7) From TJMS Student Government...We’re announcing the start of a penny war drive to support the cancer research fund to defeat this terrible disease. All pennies placed in your container will be positive points while all silver and green money will count against your total. The purpose is to have the highest positive amount in the end. Winning advisory in each grade will win an outside game of your choice. Containers will be placed in each advisory from May 20th-24th. 8) Annie Jr, our school's musical, is this weekend. Performances are at 7 PM on Friday, May 17 & Saturday, May 18. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 552-4700.
