2) This Saturday, April 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the University of Dubuque is having their STEM Festival. There will be robots, lab activities and Mr. Hesselman will be presenting his new vehicle! So come out and have fun with UD.

3) Sports Today - Boys & Girls Track and Field...Jefferson Girls 34th Invitational and Roosevelt Boys Invitational at Dalzell beginning at 5:30 p.m.

It’s an opportunity for students to see a business first-hand in a student-friendly, interactive environment – and hear from industry leaders about the skills and education needed to be successful in that field. All at NO COST to attendees (and participants even get a FREE t-shirt). Stop by the office for more information.

3) LEAP today...Homework Help is in the Library and Express Yourself Media is in the Art Room.

2) Anyone interested in being a Hempstead Cheerleader for the 2017-2018 school year, there will be a MANDATORY parent meeting on tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the Library at Hempstead. Mandatory tryout practices will be held at Hempstead on April 18th and April 20th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. and April 24th, 3:15-4:30 p.m. in the North Gym. Mandatory tryouts are April 25th, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the North Gym.

4) The Dubuque Senior Color Guard is getting ready to start up for next year! If spinning a flag, marching with the band and making new friends sounds like fun to you, then come try us out! Audition workshops will be held Tuesday, May 2nd from 6-9 p.m.; Thursday, May 4th from 6-9 p.m.; and Tuesday, May 9th from 6-9 p.m. Auditions will be on Thursday, May 11th from 6-9 p.m. You can pick up a flyer with more information in the main office. We hope to see you at auditions!

Any 8th grade girls interested in playing softball at Senior this spring, there will be a player/parent meeting on Monday, April 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Senior. This meeting is to provide players and parents with information on the upcoming season. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
