Tuesday, November 27, 2012 Day B

1) S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G B-E-E. If you are a great speller, we want you to represent Jefferson in the Telegraph Herald spelling bee in January at Clarke University. Interested students should contact Ms. Weber to sign up. The deadline to sign up is December 3rd.

2) If you are interested in joining the TJMS Book Club please see your Language Arts teacher or Mrs. Boxleiter. Meetings held on Wednesday during 6th period.

3) Coats and jackets are not to be worn into classrooms, etc., but should be stored in lockers. Hooded sweatshirts are permitted, but hoods must be kept down.

4) Sports Today - Girls Basketball...Jefferson vs. Drexler. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Drexler; both games begin at 4 p.m.

5) We are looking for students to represent Jefferson for Young Citizen's Forum.  Do you have an opinion on topics like school lunches, year-round school, and the treatment of wild animals?  Can you back up your opinions with evidence?  Do you like working in a group?  Our first meeting will be Monday, December 3rd during period 5.  More information is available from your homebase or social studies teacher.  To sign up, see Ms. Thimmesch in room 207 or Ms. Weber.
