3) Reminder...Leap Programs begin today. The following 6th grade students will be going to the Zip-Line: Cody Barth, Benjamin Birkett, Devyawn Bostic, Samantha Clark, Regan Connolly, Carly Dalberg, Zachary Edgington, Gabriella Fondell, Elizabeth Freiburger, Kassidy Gerken, Dajah Green, and Destiny Green.
4) Sports Today...Girls Volleyball - Jefferson Red vs. Washington White. 7th grade at Jefferson and 8th grade at Washington; both games begin at 4 p.m. 7th Grade Red Football - Jefferson Red vs. Roosevelt Black at Roosevelt at 4 p.m. 7th Grade Gold Football - Jefferson Gold vs. Roosevelt Purple at Jefferson at 4 p.m.
5) Any student that has not been photographed or would like a retake please stop by the main office and sign up for Picture ReTakes on Thursday, September 20th.
Iowa Youth Survey Attention: Parents/Guardians We will be offering the Iowa Youth Survey this year for grades 6, 8, and 11. Please review this in the Parent-Student Handbook under Health and Wellness for information regarding the purpose of the survey and your rights as a parent/guardian. The deadline for receiving refusal of consent is September 20, 2012. The survey is offered every two years in the fall. This year it will offered between September 24 and November 2 of 2012. The District will post the notification in the Handbook each year instead of mailing individual letters. If you need a copy of the Handbook, please contact your student’s school.
